The Farming and Cattle Raising Technician graduated from Bom Jesus campus is a professional qualified to work at any stage of the agricultural production chain, either in the supply of productive resources - sale of inputs, sale of machinery and equipment, provision of services, rural credit - in agricultural/zootechnical production and marketing of their products. He is a professional who knows how to interact and continually improve his learning from the democratic coexistence with cultures, ways of being, and different viewpoints with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of promoting changes and innovations based on a multidisciplinary vision and technical knowledge. They are agents capable of entering the labor market committed with sustainable regional socioeconomic development, ensuring protection to the environment and contributing to food security for the entire population.

Scope of activity: 

* Provide technical assistance in the development of farming and cattle raising technology projects;

* Get, prepare, transform, conserve and store raw materials and agro-industrial products;

* Develop programs of nutrition and food management in zootechnical projects;

* Plan and monitor the implementation of programs of improvement in the genetics of animals, as well as breeding methods and programs;

* Implement and manage systems of quality control and sanity in agricultural production;

* Plan, organize and monitor the exploration and management of the soil according to its characteristics;

* Cultivate indoor or outdoor systems and plantations;

* Produce seedlings and seeds;

* Plan actions related to the treatment of crops;

* Plan and monitor the harvest and post-harvest;

* Design topographic projects and of environmental impact;

* Act in rural administration;

* Act in research and development institutes and companies;

* Act in companies that provide advisory and agricultural support;

* Act in companies and industries that work in the agro-industrial complex.
