Introduction
Cabo Frio campus is part of the Fluminense Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology – IFFluminense – and it is one of the thirteen campuses located in the inland of Rio de Janeiro state, in the region of the Coastal Lowlands. The campus integrated the Federal Network of Professional Expansion that the Federal Government implemented along with the Ministry of Education - MEC. The official inauguration took place on March 5, 2009 with the presence of the former president, Luís Inácio Lula da Silva, and the Minister of Education, Fernando Haddad.
After six years of operation, the campus had approximately 1,200 students in a structure made of classrooms, library, sports court and cafeteria.
Located in Cabo Frio, the campus aims to provide qualified professional and public education to all the region of the Coastal Lowlands covering Búzios, Cabo Frio, Arraial do Cabo, São Pedro da Aldeia, Casimiro de Abreu, Araruama and Iguaba towns.
