Course Structure:
The Basic Area of Application (ABI) on "Sciences of Nature" allows the student to choose, after the third semester either the undergraduate degree in Biology, Physics or Chemistry. After enrollment, the student will attend a common curricular matrix, containing subjects from the pedagogic, propaedeutic and nature sciences and their technologies, during the first three semesters. From the fourth semester on, the curricular matrix becomes different for each course.
Professional profile:
The undergraduate student in Chemistry will become a professional qualified for teaching on Basic Education and able to continue their academic training through admission to postgraduate programs. They can dedicate themselves to academic research, which aims to generate new knowledge, teaching materials and methodologies. They can also work on general research and on the development of methods and products, on chemical and physico-chemical, chemical-biological, toxicological and legal analysis, and on standardization and quality control. In addition, they can work on management, supervision, programming, coordination, orientation, consulting, elaboration of budgets, publicity and commercialization, inspection and elaboration of opinions about such activities.
