High-School-Integrated to Vocational Training Course in Marine Machinery
Professional Profile:
The Marine Machinery Technician is a High School graduate capable of performing functions with full mastery of the discourses and knowledge that permeate the construction of life in society and participation in the technological and scientific advances themselves, in the problems involving the environment, health and safety of the worker, in the valorization of the pleasure in concretizing the project of self-realization and, mainly, the commitment and the responsibility with ethical and moral values guided towards citizenship.
Scope of activity:
This technician develops professional activities in shipping companies, shipyards and maintenance workshops, ship repairs, insurance companies and ship classifiers and technical inspection companies. They operate, control and perform tasks related to the machine maintenance system, electrohydraulic and refrigeration equipment, internal combustion engines, gas turbines and ship boilers. They interpret information from physical, thermal and mechanical measurement sensors. This course assumes a specific training line according to the components of the ship's propulsion system.
